Nachdem ich ja schon letztes Jahr auf der Games Convention war und es mir eigentlich recht gut gefiel, möchte ich dieses Jahr, falls möglich (die springenden Punkte sind hier Zeit und Geld), gerne wieder hinfahren.
Aber noch mehr als die eigentliche Games Convention reizt mich ja eigentlich die GCDC - Games Convention Developer Conference.
Nur dummerweise beträgt die 'fee' für diese Konferenz insg. 295.80 EUR, die ich nicht habe. Da ich nicht damit rechne, dass mich irgendwer sponsorn will (falls doch, verspreche ich natürlich eine 1A Berichtserstattung!), habe ich mich nun quasi um eine Position als "Student Assistant" beworben und hoffe das beste.
Alternativ könnte man ja auch mal bei der Uni anfragen, ob die nicht irgendeinen Topf haben aus dem sie interessierte Studenten unterstützen, aber ich möchte es ja mal bezweifeln...

"For students - from the appropriate field - GCDC offers the unique possibility of providing organisational services during the Conference. Altogether 12 places are available. While servicing the GCDC, the student assistants can attend the GCDC.

During this year's meeting, the student assistants will take over various tasks, e.g.:
- services for the individual conference rooms
- support for advisers
- badge issue and information output
- dealing with inquiries.

In return for their support activities, students receive a day "off" which they can use to attend GCDC lectures. They are also entitled to free attendance at the Developer Party, as well as free conference food."
